Frequently Asked Questions
HOW MANY CAN WE TAKE? For the Introductory Discover Scuba Dive experience, our absolute maximum is four divers per Instructor; however, we rarely exceed two or three divers per Instructor. The small group size adds to the quality, fun, and safety of the dive. We offer personalized instruction, including private Certification Courses, upon request. The minimum age limit for all scuba activities is 10 years, with parental consent. WHAT DO WE PROVIDE? We provide a calm shallow water orientation, all instruction and equipment (including a wetsuit), a warm freshwater rinsing shower, and a snack with a beverage. Additionally, Credit for the Discover Scuba Diving program can be applied towards the Open Water Diver certification! WHAT DO THE CLIENTS PROVIDE? Everyone should bring a swimsuit and towel, a rental car, and a Fun Attitude! Also, certified divers should bring their certification card. WHEN DO WE DIVE? Divers meet daily at 9 a.m or 1
00 p.m. at a convenient dive site location. Reservations are requested. The entire
experience is a half-day adventure (about four hours). WHERE AND HOW LONG DO WE DIVE? On the south side at Koloa Landing, Prince Kuhio Park or Lawai Beach; on the east side at Ahukini Landing; and on the north side at Tunnels Beach. Weather and surf conditions determine site selection. We will take beginners to the coral reef with the calmest and clearest conditions, with no waves or currents. For Introductory Divers the duration of the dive is about 45 minutes at an average depth of 30 feet (maximum 40 feet). Certified Divers may dive within the limits of their training and experience. Scooter divers average about 60-75 minutes underwater. HOW DO THE CLIENTS GET THERE? Just call us with the client's name, hotel and room number, and desired diving day. After we qualify the client, determine dive site location, etc., we will confirm your dive reservation by returning your call promptly. WHAT ABOUT UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHS? To preserve
diving memories and capture those special moments underwater, we offer an optional 35mm underwater camera rental SNORKELING? We also offer snorkeling under the same safe conditions as scuba diving. Additionally, we can provide all Snorkelers with a wetsuit(if requested). EXTRAS? Boogie boards, underwater cameras and snorkel gear are available for rental at our Kapaa location on the corner of Kuhio Hwy(56) and Makaha Road.
